Legacy donationsAs costs continue to rise and the emphasis on voluntary funding for hospices increases, it is essential that we look towards ensuring the future funding for Sobell House. One way to know that you will be helping Sobell House in the future is by leaving a gift in your will. It enables future generations to unlock the 'time capsule' that is your Will and helps Sobell House to continue offering its vital service to the community. The most common types of gifts are as follows: Residuary bequest A gift of the remainder of the estate after all other bequests have been made and debts cleared. Pecuniary bequest A gift of a fixed sum of money. The value will decrease over time, as the cost of living increases. Specific bequest A particular named item or property left as a gift in your will - for example, a piece of jewellery. Contingent bequest A gift that depends on an event which may or may not happen, for example a bequest that applies only if other beneficiaries die before the person who made the will. If you wish to remember the Sobell House Hospice Charity in your will, we strongly recommend that you consult a solicitor - we can help with wording suggestions, if required. Please ensure you quote our charity registration number‚ 1118646 For more details contact the Sobell House Hospice Charity office on 01865 857 007 or email mail@sobellhospiceoxford.org. |
