Karting Fun(ds) for Sobell House Hospice

Witney Motor Club organised a Charity karting event on Friday 26th  November in aid of the Sobell house Hospice Charity.

The event which took place at Formula Fast in Banbury raised £1000 for the Hospice which will celebrate its 35thanniversary next year.

10 teams took part in the 2hr endurance race which was inspired by the story of local broadcaster and journalist Jack FM’s Ali Booker who passed away at Sobell House earlier this year.

Jack Fm also helped to promote the event and entered a team of their own headed by Selfy from the Big Banana.

The action was fast and furious and the racing close with Witney MC winning the overall event and S.R. Childs winning the Charity competition.
Witney Motor club hope to do more charity events in the future and if you want to have fun and help raise money for a good cause check out their website. There are photos of the event there too.

It was a great event and the guys worked really hard to raise much needed funds for Sobell House.
It was particularly nice to work with the Witney motor Club as we both share big birthdays next year, with the motor club being 45 years old and Sobell House celebrating their 35th year of caring for Oxfordshire.”
