Lights Of Love

The 2010 Lights of Love appeal raised almost £20,000 for the Hospice, and around 1,000 people attended the service on Saturday, 11th December.

This was the fifteenth Lights of Love service, and it has been held at various locations around the Churchill site.  We hope to be able to use the same location now for the next few years, and to have the chance to adapt it to our needs.  The service offers a tremendous amount of comfort to many people and it was wonderful to see so many visitors, and so many familiar faces.

Thanks to Timbmet for donating the tree, the Oxfordshire Army Cadet Force for helping with the car parking, Jubilee Brass and the Headington Singers, and Dignity Funeral Services for sponsoring the printing.

Particular thanks should also go to the staff of the Churchill Estates Department, who worked so hard to make the event possible this year.
