Sobell House offers care and support to residents of Oxfordshire affected by terminal illnesses and their families. The team at Sobell House show dedication, understanding and genuine care. Nothing is too much trouble. We are delighted to select a very special cause which helps the very special people of Oxfordshire. Our selection of Charity of the Year is important to a company of our size but whatever we do is minor compared to the great work of Sobell House .
People rarely need to ask the question as to why it is so important to have flowers and greenery in our gardens. The coloured attended landscape, no matter how large or small, instantly make us feel better when we look at plants and flowers, and it brings a smile to our faces. The wafting smells and aromas relax us or sometimes even stimulate us. There's that special feeling when we touch the flora on sunny days or even just after a shower of rain. The garden provides additional atmospheres for family interaction in an outdoor setting. A sanctuary for patients, as well as their families.
A research study found that patients have consistently shown that simply looking at environments dominated by greenery is significantly more effective in promoting recovery or restoration from stress.
