What could possibly Mon-go-lia wrong?

  • 13th July 2013

We are now live and taking applications for this year's Oxford Moonlight Stroll

This year's event takes place on the 13th July and will have a sci-fi theme so pull on those Darth Vader costumes, don your Doctor Who scarves and join us on a Starry Trek through the streets of Oxford in aid of the Sobell House Hospice Charity!

Will Wynell-Mayow is taking on a slightly different take on fundraising for Sobell House...a 10,000 mile rally to Mongolia!

Will explains: "This summer I am doing a self-funded drive, 10,000 miles to Mongolia as part of a charity initiative called the Mongol Rally. This overland adventure crosses ⅓ of the earths surface through rivers, mountains and deserts, in a regulation “wholly inappropriate” car. Our 5 man team, “What Could Possibly Go Mongol” consists of myself and 4 of my friends from Cambridge University.

Each of us has our own specific charity and mine is Sobell House, and we aim to raise a total of £10,000 for charity, roughly £1 per mile driven. Once completed, the car is to be donated to raise money for the Mongol Rally’s own charity this year, the Lotus Children’s Trust.

The details of our journey will be blogged on our website www.gomongol.co.uk so our progress can be followed."

Bonkers eh?
